- Can I buy more clicks and impressions?
Whether you are a banner exchange user or a paid advertiser you can purchase more credits and clicks when you login to your account.
Buy Advertising Packages:
- Log in to your account
- Go to the 'Other Options' menu.
- Select 'Payments and Orders'
- Select the size package you wish to purchase.
- Pay securely by PayPal using your PayPal account or Credit Card

- Can I earn credits for referring other users?
You can refer new members to the Banner Exchange and
receive rewards in addition to the free banner impressions you get when you
join.
You will get 50 clicks for each new user you refer PLUS you also will
receive 20% from the number of impressions and 20% from the number of
clicks sent by the users you refer who become exchange members. You MUST NOT refer yourself. If we find that a user has referred themself to get free banner impressions the users account will be disabled and any remaining funds will be forfeited.
Your Referral Link
Send possible users to http://www.bannerexchange.com.au/exchange/index.php?id=YOURUSERNAME.
(Don't forget to change 'YOURUSERNAME' to the username you use to login to the exchange.)
You will also find this link on your 'Main Statistics' page in your ad management section.
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the 'manage Ads'menu
- Select 'All Ads'
- Click on the 'Statistics' link
- At the bottom of the 'Info' panel you will see your referral link.

- Do I get credits for surfing sites?
This is not a site where you earn credits for surfing sites. It is designed for those who wish to market their web sites by exchanging banners or buying clicks and impressions within the banner exchange.

- How do I add/edit a banner?
Please be aware that all banner ads are approved manually by the administrator (Mike).
To add a banner to the banner exchange you need to do the following:
- Log in to your account.
- Select the 'Manage Ads' menu.
- Select the 'Edit Ad' menu.
- Select the ad size you wish to add/edit
- Select the web site categories on which you wish to show your banner ad. Hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard to select multiple categories. Exchange users can select up to five categories and paid advertisers can select 20. Exchange Users Only will have to show ads on their site - paid advertisers do not have to show banners.
- Type in the web address (URL) that you want people to go to when they click on your banner.
- Upload your banner by clicking on the 'browse' butto, select your banner (must be the correct size).
- Add your keywords to the Alt tag field seperated by commas (,).
- Select days and times that you would like your banner to be shown (optional)
- Click save
The administrator (Mike) will be notified that you have added or edited your ad and he will approve or disapprove according to the rules. This is normally done withn 24 hours.

- How do I move impressions between banner sizes
If you have just joined you will find your 'Free Credits' allocated to
to different ad sizes. Simply transfer the credits to the size banner that you want to use.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Move banner impressions and clicks between ad sizes by:
- login and go the 'Manage
Ads' menu.
- select the ad size you want to transfer from
- select
'Manage Resources'.
- go to the 'Move Impressions/Clicks to Other Sizes' section and slect the number of credits and the ad size you want to move them to.

- What do all the information fields mean when I am adding a banner?
Below you will see a brief description of each field when adding a banner.
Categories - The categories of the sites you want to show your ad on.
Use Classic Banner - upload a banner to our servers to be shown on other sites. The banner must be uploaded to our server. You cannot link to it on another server.
URL - link to your web site (inc. http://) - this is the link to the site that you want people who click your banner to be directed to.
Banner - find the banner on your computer and upload to our server. If you do not upload your banner we cannot approve it.
Alt tag - key search words or terms for your site (words or terms people would use to find your site in a search engine.
Use the raw HTML code to create a banner - available to paid advertisers only this would allow you to insert HTML code to show an ad which was hosted on another server. This is the best option if you want to show affiliate ads and you have ad code to insert. The HTML must be in the correct format to show the ad. If you are not familiar with HTML it is best to use the classic banner.

- Where do I check whether my ad is being shown?
You can check to see how your advertisng and/or exchange campaigns are performing by:
- Log in to your account
- Select the 'Manage Ads' menu
- Select 'All Ads'
- Click on the 'Statistics' link next to the size ad you want to check.
You will also find a statistics link at the bottom of the page when you access the 'edit ad' menu.

- Why Does My Ad Say 'Disabled'
To maintain the integrity of the banner exchange each ad is approved manually by administration. This is usually done with 24 hours.

- What do I do if there are banners showing on my site which are not appropriate?
There are two things your can do if banners are showing on your site which are not appropriate to your visitors:
- Login to your account and go to manage ads. Select the ad size you want to manage and select the ad you want to edit. Change the category for that ad.
- Become a paid advertiser and you you are not required to show exhange
user banners on your site but will pay for your imprressions and
clicks. You will find more information about this here
- Contact us if you see a banner which is offensive. We manually approve all banners and try to ensure that there are no offensive ones but some things are offensive to some people and not to others.

- Where do I get the code to put on my website?
Exchange code is only required by exhange users and not paid members. When you login to your exchange account do the following:
- go to the 'Manage Ads' menu
- move your mouse over the size ad you want to place on your site
- select 'Get Exchange Code'
- Select the category of web site banner you want to place on your site (you can see the current banners being shown in the category of that ad size by clicking on the category). When you have selected click continue.
- Highlight (CTRL + a) the code and copy (CTRL + c).
- Paste this code into the desired location of your website to earn banner credits for impressions and/or clicks.
In the unlikely event the code does not work on your site please contact us and we will look into the problem.

- Why don't the banners of other users show on my site?
If you have created and enabled a banner for yourself and then copied the code into your site you should see a banner appear on your site.
If you are not seeing a banner it is for one of the following reasons:
- There are no other users targeting your website category
- There are no other users with credits to show ads in your category
- You have not correctly copied and pasted the code to your website.

- Do I have to show banners on my site if I am a paying member?
If you are a paid advertiser there is no need to show exchange user banners on your site. You pay for the privilege of not having to exchange banners and get the benefit of having your banners shown on the sites of non-paying exchange users.
You can create a paid advertisers account and place you order for impressions online securely using PayPal.

- If I don't want to place an order online is there another way to pay?
If you are in Australia you can pay by direct deposit. Please contact us to arrange an invoice with deposit details. The minimum order amount for offline payments is AU$50.00
We can also arrange to take your credit card payment by telephone. Please contact us and we will call you to arrange. Minimum telephone credit card order is AU$100.00
